The Music Department

I like almost all kinds of music, still, I have my favorites.

Styles : I just love POP, ROCK & 80's. I really like soft music & anything with a sax playing in it.

Singers : I love Sting & Billy Joel for their gentle very touching songs. I usually love songs more than I do singers, but with these two I love almost everything they've done. Among my other favorite singers I can include Celine Dion, Allanis Morrisette, Jamiraquai, Anouk, Rod Stewart, Brian Adams, Weird Al Yankovic & many many more.
Bands : I'm a dedicated fan of Queen, Aerosmith, The Beach Boys, Greenday, The Police, Huey Luis & the Bad News, Madness & alot of others.

My Favorite Radio Station: Well, this will only mean something to those of you who pick up the Israeli Boradcasts. I just love a station going by the name of : "Gal-Galatz" on 106.4 FM. It has the best, newest songs, & usually airs with the wannbe hits, days or even weeks before they actually make it into the top hit lists. If you can pick up this station, I truely recommend it.

The Books Department

I mainly stick to Horror, Sci-Fi, Thrillers & Fantasy books.

The Movies Department

Well, now you've hit the spot. I just love movies. True, I'm mostly a fan of the Action-Comedy "Genres" but I do have a warm place in my heart for Dramas, Romantic epics & Classics (as long as they are not in black & white - that I can't stand).

The Kiddies Department

They say you're only as old as you feel. In which case, I'm still struggling with my diapers (figure of speach - of course). I live all sorts of Kiddie stuff. It all dates back to the days I was a child, & was intrested in so many things, that some simply refused to leave.

I consider myself to be a child at heart. I love kids, since they have something we all lose in time & that is the ability to feel amazed after learning or discovering something new for the 1st time. Did you ever think back to when you were a child, & remember how much candy & chocolate meant to you back then ? So what happend? did candy & chocolate become less sweet & tastey over the years ? the answer is NO. we just grew older.

I no longer play with my Legos or J.I Joes, But I still like many animated series, still play games still read comic books & am generally struggling to "stay in business" sorta speak, since one day I will probably have a child myself, & then I'll have to learn all this stuff again.

Oh... & here's a wonderful quotation i picked up once: regarding babies, which I love best (especially when I don't have to change them) :

"Every Infant in nature is born with means of defending itself, be it claws or teeth or spikes. But the human baby is born with non of these - Therefore, they were created cute."

The Sports & Travel Department

Well, this is a field I usually wish I explored more vividly.

Favorite sport game: Volleyball. This is the one sport I actually both understand & love to play. In my youth I played some basketball & soccer, but those were passing phases. My moto is : "Its better to practice sports then watch it !"

Other Sports I like : I just love Jogging, riding my bicycle & Martial arts.

Jogging : When it comes to a good jog, it usually means there is one or more friends running with me. I simply enjoy the idea of running freely for as long as I want. There was a time when I was forced to do it by coaches, but now that I'm on my own - oh the sweet smell of victory. I picked up Jogging in the 11th grade, as a preliminary attempt to ready myself for "boot camp". I managed to get a group of joggers together, & ever since we've been holding on to this tradition. Just imagine the joy of running free, the wind rustling through your hair, the breeze nipping at your face & the blood pumping through your veins - now what can beat that ?

Martial arts : I've always been in love with the ability of mastering some sort of martial art. It seems devine to be able to defend yourself with no more then what nature has given you (plus maybe a stick or too - they come from nature as well, don't they ?). I started learning "Krav-Maga", which is the Israeli Martial art, when I was quite old - 19 if my memory serves me right. I studied it for quite some time, but the cource closed (& just when we where getting to "how to break boards with our heads"). I've no title, nor do I have a belt but I did learn some useful tricks. In the future I might pursue this more seriously.

Riding my bike : Just like jogging, except I get there faster.

Traveling : I love walking, hiking & seeing nature. I'm not too crazy about sleeping outdoors but I don't mind exploring it all day long. My favorite hiking spots are wet tracks, long trails & animal (cute ones) reserves. I used to love the school trips, but ever since I graduated I hav'nt gone on too many trips. I've never been abroad, since I found no reason to go there (yet), & am currently making an effort to visit as many places as I can in my own country. Israel is beautiful & I adore it for what it is. From the deserts down south to the snow covered peaks up north - nothing compares to my beloved Israel (& the fact I've never been anywhere else in order to make this comparison is irrelevant).

Here's a good example of a trip I was in. It was down south In a desert (forgot which one). We visited a Bedouin camp, & got to ride camels too (Ouch- that was painfull - certain parts of me are still trying to overcome the trauma). This is the Highschool me... the camel in a rental.
